The Krushuna falls Ecotrail

Krushuna Falls have been officially declared a natural sight of interest, being the biggest travertine casscade in Bulgaria. The travertine is a soft, light-coloured rock, forming beautiful casscades under the influence of errosion and water, with plenty of terraces, pools and a variety of wildlife. There is a winding eco trail passing by the waterfall, providing an opportunity to observe it from various angles.

The trail is marked and there are 15 picuaresque small bridges and stairs along, taking us to two observation grounds – one under and the other one over the Praskaloto Fall.

The turqoise waters and surrounding vegetation merge here into a magical whole. The central waterfall drops from 20 m, splits into several branches and turns into a number of smaller waterfalls.
